Guest Lecture for BCA on How a Processor is Build
On July 10, 2024, Mr. Supriyo Das from INTEL conducted an informative session for the BCA I and III Semester students on the topic of how a processor is built. During the session, Mr. Das provided an in-depth overview of the intricate process involved in the creation of processors, from the initial design phase to the final production stages. He explained the various components that make up a processor, including the silicon wafer, transistors, and circuitry, and detailed the steps involved in integrating these components into a functional chip. The discussion also covered the advancements in technology that have influenced processor development, including miniaturization and increased processing power. Mr. Das illustrated his points with practical examples and visual aids, which helped the participants gain a clearer understanding of the complex technology behind processors. The session was well-received by the students, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from an expert in the field and gain insights into the cutting-edge technology driving modern computing.
