LLB PGDM Overview

This two-degree program gives you the tools to become successful, whether you aspire to be a business leader with legal expertise or want to pursue a law career with a solid foundation in management. In only three years — rather than the five it would take to complete both degrees separately. Our program enables you to follow the career path of your choice and provides you with a skill set that truly differentiates you from others.

This unique two-degree program gives students the unique opportunity to earn 2 degrees from a globally accredited B-School and BCI-approved, top-ranked IFIM School of Law. At the end of the program, students will obtain a LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and a PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management). This one of it’s kind program is curated to help students gather knowledge in two very promising domains and also equip them to get an edge over their peers due to their diverse exposure and perspective. Students will get access to the wide alumni base of JAGSOM and IFIM School of Law.

Students will be enrolled in this two-degrees programme for three years.

Curriculum

LLB: The focus of the LLB curriculum will be to give students adequate measure knowledge, skills, and attitude in different legal areas and niche specialisations aligned to the management areas. The pedagogy followed will be clinical based and regular interface with industry experts. LL.B (Affiliated to KSLU and approved by BCI) course can be pursued after finishing any graduation degree like BA, B.Com, B.Sc., B.Ed., etc.

The target by the end of the 3-year course is to make a student ready to take up areas that fit into their skill set such as Judiciary, Corporate, Banking, Litigation, Academics, Consulting, Risk Management, Practice Management, Private Equity, Entrepreneurship etc

To be eligible for the Award of LLB, the candidate must earn a minimum of 90 credits .

 

PGDM

To be eligible for the Award of the Post Graduate Diploma the participant must earn a minimum of 102 credits. .

Credit Definition

The program provides ample opportunities for industry exposure and practical learning. Students engage in internships, industry visits, and guest lectures by experts from the legal and business sectors and participate in national and international competitions.

  1. Credit is equal to 30 study hours, including 2 hours of classroom contact hours and 28 hours of Directed Learning. 
  2. Eligibility for the Award of Post Graduate Diploma

A participant should fulfill the following conditions to qualify for the Award of Diploma 

  • The Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of a participant at the end of the second year (including all terms) must be at least 5.00.
  • The participant should earn/complete at least 102 credits, including 36 credits for core courses, 27 credits for practice courses, and 39 for electives (including 30 for a Major from the same discipline/area and 9 for a Minor from the same discipline/area).
