: IFIM Institutions was honoured to have Dr. Kiran Seth, 73-year-old founder of SPIC MACAY, Padma Shri awardee and former Professor at Emeritus IIT, Delhi as a guest for chat and lunch.
He has recently taken up a mission of cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to spread the message to revive the Indian Heritage and promote simple living.
Dr. Seth interacted with the young minds of IFIM Institutions and shared his thoughts about how one can master the art of meditation with just listening to our favourite music. Secondly, he talked about Yoga one of the arts of India which has gained a lot of attraction in foreign countries but at the same time it lost it’s importance in it’s origin country.
The Lunch and Chat session with Dr. Kiran Seth was to provide an opportunity to the IFIM students to interact, and understand his purpose and vision for the expedition.
Dr. Seth also believes that the younger generation has to focus more on preserving the culture of our country as it connects one to it’s roots. The event partner, SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth), is an organization with the mission to revive Indian Heritage and promote simple living. It has been a partner to the IFIM Institute for many events and it is the honour to share the privilege that we received by hosting Dr. Seth and for his invaluable insights.
