Admissions at IFIM School Of Law

Here at IFIM School Of Law, we believe in a holistic development of an individual. It is for this reason that we have upgraded from an ‘I- Shaped’ to the ‘Delta-shaped’ education model. All the ‘I- Shaped’ model requires is basic legal knowledge and skills. This, however, is not enough anymore. Lawyers need to be more than their legal knowledge; they need to be the social engineers who are capable of driving change and revolutionizing industries. But the question is how do we achieve that? To best equip our students for facing a world which is becoming increasingly complex we follow the ‘Delta-Shaped’ education model with its three essential components: Practice, People, and Process. At IFIM Law School we will provide you with a strong foundation of knowledge required for legal practice and build upon that with the important people skills and knowledge of the new and upcoming processes. We do not just want you to listen, we want you to express. We do not just want you to think, we want you to ponder and start a discussion with us.

Prof. (Dr.) Sunil George

Knowledge of law has become indispensable in every facet of human life and endeavor. Liberalization and Globalization have further enhanced the scope of the legal profession. India as a buoyant economy reinventing itself to find its rightful place as a global leader and the everchanging legal environment to adjust to the same require a speedy justice delivery system on one hand and on the other hand ease of doing business by ensuring legal compliances. Legal professionals have an important role to play in ensuring speedy justice and attempting to understand and provide solutions to these emerging issues. Increasing awareness among citizens about their rights have also augmented the need for quality legal professionals.

Established in the year 2015, IFIM Law School offers programs such as Five-year B.B.A. LL.B. Integrated Program and Three-Year LL.B. program. We at the Law School try to inculcate and cultivate the right professional virtues with strong analytical skills and encourage our students to pursue excellence so that they can effectively respond and contribute to the everchanging legal dynamics in the nation and across the globe. The focus is on providing quality academic and employment-focussed education which would help our students to achieve the desired success in the legal profession.

The Law School has highly qualified faculty members in their respective fields of expertise who are committed to nurturing, encouraging and enriching our students and helping them to widen their horizon of learning throughout their academic journey. Apart from being excellent in their academic delivery, our faculty members have published quality research papers in books and national and international journals.

The academic learning in the classroom is complemented by Guest lectures, Seminars, Webinars, Workshops and Conferences conducted and delivered by distinguished luminaries from academia, corporates, law firms and the bar and bench. We actively involve our students in organising these events which besides being an avenue for introducing our students to the legal world provide them with rich experience and inculcate in them versatile qualities such as leadership and team spirit. We attempt to refine our students by engaging them in co-curricular and extra- curricular activities such as Moots, Debates, Sports and Cultural activities. As Aristotle said, ‘Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all’, we at IFIM Law School through the Social Immersion Program sensitize the students to the needs of the society and not only make them sensitive to the problems of the society but students also learn to find and design solutions to these problems.

Moreover, we at the Law School with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, classrooms with the latest ICT tools, well-equipped library, online databases, Moot Court Room, Auditorium, Seminar Hall, cater to the wide-ranging learning needs of our students. A Plethora of Research Centres have been established to hone research skills among our students and to create an environment conducive for research and ensure good research publications in journals of national and international repute.

Internships provide a perfect platform to refine the competency of our students and enhance their problem-solving ability besides preparing them for the industry. Internship is therefore knitted into the curriculum and forms an integral part of the student’s academic progression. The students are provided with placements sourced through faculty and institutional contacts and with a consistent interface with the legal fraternity.

We are proud of the achievements of our alumni and are constantly striving hard and aspire to prepare highly successful legal professionals who would be able to achieve their goals with the highest levels of commitment and integrity and thereby uphold the ideals of the legal profession.
