Kanyathon 2026 marked its 15th edition, bringing together over 13,000 participants across Bengaluru, Karjat, and BITS Pilani, continuing its journey as one of India’s largest student-led charity runs supporting the cause of girls’ education and empowerment.Â
Held on International Women’s Day, the initiative reflects the growing scale and impact of student-driven social engagement.Â
Since its inception in 2011 with 400 participants, Kanyathon has impacted over 3 lakh girls through scholarships, Kanyathon Shiksha Kendras, and programs focused on education, digital literacy, health, and hygiene.Â
Organised by students of IFIM Institutions, Jagdish Sheth School of Management, and Vijaybhoomi University, the initiative continues to drive meaningful and sustained change.Â
The event highlights the power of collective action in creating long-term social impact and advancing opportunities for the education and empowerment of the girl child.Â
