Social Immersion Program- MBA PGCET SIP 2022-24
The Social Immersion Program for the MBA PGCET SIP 2022-24 Batch commenced on June 24, 2024, involving 65 students divided into six clusters. The program, conducted in collaboration with NGOs such as YFS, Vriksha Mitra, and Paryavaran Samrakshana, took place across Bangalore and Belgaum. As part of the program, students were engaged in a variety of impactful community activities. These included the plantation of 30 trees, which contributed to environmental sustainability efforts in the local communities. In addition, the students conducted surveys in three villages to assess environmental concerns, health issues, and hygiene practices. These surveys aimed to gather insights into local challenges and identify potential areas for improvement.
Furthermore, students participated in teaching sessions in government schools, where they interacted with children, imparting essential knowledge and contributing to their educational growth. The program provided valuable hands-on experience for the students, allowing them to engage with real-world issues and contribute meaningfully to society. The collaboration with the NGOs and the active involvement of the students played a crucial role in making this social immersion initiative a success, fostering a deeper understanding of community challenges and enhancing the students’ social responsibility.
