The IFIM School of Law organized a Research Colloquium on ‘Tensions in Indian Constitutional Structure’ on the 15th of April 2022. The colloquium was divided in two panels. Panel one was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Kavita Singh, Professor of Law, WBNUJS, Kolkata and Prof. (Dr.) Manwendra Kumar Tiwari, Dean & Controller of Examinations (Additional Charge), Associate Professor (Law), DNLU, Jabalpur. Five papers were presented in the panel on topics varying from individual liberty, to privacy.
The second panel was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Anil G. Variath, Justice M.L. Pendse Chair Professor in Environmental Laws and Registrar, MNLU Mumbai and Dr. Sharmila Ghuge, Associate Professor, Jitendra Chauhan College of Law. Four papers were presented in the panel on topics including the necessity of a Governor, Doctrine of Parens Patriae and appointment of judges.
Mr. Atul Kumar, Ms. Mantasha, Mr. Alvin Mathew and Ms. Mimansa Mrinalini, all students of the School, volunteered for the event.
