We are excited to extend announce ‘CONCORDAT 3.0’ – The third edition of our National Alternative Dispute Resolution Fest, scheduled to be held from 15th – 17th December 2023, at IFIM School of Law, Bangalore.

Following the success of its previous editions, we present to you our 3rd National ADR Fest – CONCORDAT 3.0. 

The 3rd edition of ‘CONCORDAT’- National ADR Fest, conducted by IFIM School of Law, meets the 3rd generation of web, which culminates to CONCORDAT 3.0, which aims to immerse participants in the exciting legal spheres of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws along with Technology Law and Artificial Intelligence. Come experience the “3.0” in the Silicon Valley of India!

This competition aims to bring together the brightest legal minds from across the nation to engage in rigorous ADR simulations, fostering an environment of learning, growth, and healthy competition and lots of fun. We believe that your institution’s participation will add tremendous value to this event. 

CONCORDAT 3.0 will spread over three days and two categories of competitions – ‘Med–Arb’, and ‘C-Neg’, coupled with two days of fun-filled fest. 

Each category of Competition shall have four rounds: Preliminary, Quarters, Semi-Finals, and Finals.

ABOUT THE CENTRE OF ADR:

The Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution [Centre for ADR], is a student-run body constituted in the year 2019, with a vision to promote ADR culture at IFIM School of Law as well as imparting 21st century dispute resolution skills in the student body as a whole. The Centre for ADR consists of student members who undertake various activities like research and spreading awareness of news relating to ADR on E-Platforms, training for ADR competitions, conducting seminars and weekly sessions to familiarize the students with the theoretical and practical nuances of ADR mechanisms. The Centre collectively works towards polishing the dispute resolution skills of students and guiding them to pursue their interests in the field of ADR. We believe that any dispute can be resolved in an amicable manner and deals can be secured through efficient negotiation; provided that one possesses and excels in the art of dispute resolution mechanisms.

REGISTRATION PROCESS AND FEE:

Interested institutions/ teams are required to register for the competition by filling this online provisional registration form. (Please note that only one entry shall be accepted from each institution for each format i.e. one team for C-Neg and one team for Med-Arb). 

The Organizing Committee will shortlist a total of 16 Teams for C-NEG format and 20 teams for the MED-ARB format out of all the Applicant Teams on first-come-first basis, who have successfully completed the registration by the above-mentioned deadline. 

On receipt of the duly filled registration form the Organizing Committee shall respond to the participating team, acknowledging the final registration. 

Each team shall register to CONCORDAT 3.0 Competition by filing this provisional registration form, in the prescribed manner on or before 11:59 PM 28th October, 2023.

The Registration Fee is INR 2500/- per person without accommodation and INR 3000/- per person with accommodation.

  • FINAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 5th November 2023. 
  • FORMATS: ‘Client Counselling – Negotiation (C-Neg)’ and ‘Mediation – Arbitration (Med-Arb)’.
  • THEMES : 
    • C-NEG: ‘Disputes on Technology Law and Artificial Intelligence’ 
    • MED-ARB: ‘Legal Disputes based on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law’. 
  • TEAM COMPOSITION:
    • C-NEG: Team of 2
    • MED-ARB: Team of 3
  • ELIGIBILITY: All Bona fide students of a recognised university enrolled in either a 5-year integrated course or a 3-year law degree.
