On March 21, 2024, IFIM College hosted an exciting event titled “Extempore,” specifically designed for the MBA III Semester students of the 2022 batch. Coordinated by Dr. Vidya Pillai, the event featured a series of engaging activities aimed at testing students’ quick thinking and presentation skills. The event unfolded in three dynamic rounds: Round 1, “Crack the Code,” challenged participants to solve complex problems under time constraints; Round 2, “Brand Blitz,” required students to present and defend a brand strategy on the spot; and Round 3, “Elevator Pitch-Extempore,” invited participants to deliver a spontaneous pitch on a given topic, showcasing their ability to think and articulate ideas swiftly. This multi-faceted competition was designed to enhance students’ communication and analytical skills, essential for success in the business world. By participating in these rounds, students not only refined their ability to think on their feet but also gained valuable experience in public speaking and strategic thinking. IFIM College’s “Extempore” event underscored its commitment to fostering practical skills and providing students with opportunities to excel in high-pressure scenarios.
