Dr. Aswini Patro, (M.A., Delhi School of Economics; LL.B., Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, Delhi University; LL.M., Brunel University, London) has twenty years of experience in International Consulting, Litigation Practice, and Academics. Prof. Patro worked as a faculty in KIIT School of Law and was Head of the Department of International Law and Faculty Coordinator for the Post Graduate Programme. Formerly Director at a Chicago-based Legal Services Firm involved in the management of Indian operations and overseeing contract review and management along with litigation management. Prof. Patro also worked with the Ministry of Environment, Republic of Macedonia (during 2006-2007) on issues related to international trade law. He represented the Brunel University School of International Law team in “Regulating the European Market”; a conference conducted jointly by Clifford Chance and the Institute of European and Comparative Law, the University of Oxford. He loves interacting with students and likes to be involved with problem-solving activities for effective learning. He adapts the Socratic and Case Study method in teaching. His interest lies in the Law of Contract, Trade Law, and Commercial Arbitration.

Ms. Shagufta Anjum is a self-driven person who always thrives on challenges and constantly sets goals for herself. She strongly believes that “Education is the key to unlocking the golden door of freedom”. Ms. Shagufta Anjum completed her BA (Law) LLB from Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies, Bangalore in 2003 followed by her LLM, in Business Laws from University Law College, 2006 Bangalore. She has also pursued a PG Program in Corporate Laws, and a PG Diploma in Cyber Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune. She has maintained a first-class percentage record all throughout. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Surrogacy from Alliance University, Bangalore. She has 15+ years of experience in teaching and has taught a wide variety of subjects from the branches of Business Law, Human Rights Law, Cyber Laws, Constitutional & Administrative Law, Law of Contracts, Interpretation of Statutes, Practical Clinical Courses, Research Methodology, Environmental Laws, Right to Information, Kannada Kali. Etc

Dr. Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra, have put in about 18 years of experience in teaching various subjects of law in some of the reputed law colleges of India. He, obtained B.Sc.(H) degree from S.C. S College, Puri, Odisha with Zoology as honours subject. He completed LL, B, 3years degree course from G.M Law College, Puri, Odisha., Went on to obtain his LL, M, with Commercial Law as his specialization paper from P.G. Dept. of Law, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He qualified UGC- NET in Law. Dr. Sanjeeb, entered into regular practice in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Judicature at Jabalpur after completing his LL; M. Commenced his teaching carrier from Hitkarni Law College, Jabalpur (M.P). He worked with” Unison School of Law”, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) as lecture, for about 3years, before Joining M.S. Ramaiah College of Law, Bangalore in August 2009.He had a short stint at “Symbiosis Law School, Pune, during 2015-16 and ICFAI University, Tripura in 2023, before joining IFIM Law College. Title of his Ph.D. thesis is “Problems of Women at Work Place with Special Reference to Organized Sector in Odisha: Legal Implications”. He has got his Ph.D from Utkal University, Odisha. He has ten Articles published in UGC Care Approved Journals and four articles in peer reviewed Journals of repute, as well. His area of interest includes Law relating to women & children’s, Human Right laws, contact, Administrative law, Medical Jurisprudence, etc.

Nikhila S. Tigadi has over nine years of academic experience. She obtained her Master’s degree in Business and Trade Laws in 2013, securing second rank, and later completed her Ph.D. in Corporate Governance from Karnatak University, Dharwad, in 2019. Additionally, she qualified for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) in 2013. She has served at distinguished institutions, including the P.G. Department of Studies in Law at Karnatak University, the University College of Law in Dharwad, and Ramaiah College of Law in Bengaluru. Her academic experience encompasses teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and she has also supervised an LLM dissertation. Her areas of interest include Company Law, Corporate Governance, Consumer Law, Law of Contracts, Hindu Law, Cyber Law, and Property Law. Beyond her academic contributions, Dr. Nikhila has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to legal aid and community outreach. As the Faculty Coordinator for the Legal Services Clinic at her previous institution, she led a range of impactful initiatives, including the establishment of Off-Campus Legal Services Clinics and organising over 40 legal outreach programs in schools, colleges, prisons, orphanages, and both rural and urban communities in Bengaluru, Tumkur, Mysuru, and Chickaballapur districts. These programs were instrumental in advancing access to justice in underserved areas. Her involvement extended to participating in the Legal Literacy Programme and documentation drive organised by the Department of Tribal Welfare, Government of Karnataka, the District Legal Services Authority in Mysuru, and the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority. She was pivotal in establishing the Consumer and RTI wings within the Legal Services Clinic at her previous institution. She also spearheaded initiatives such as a web portal for online applications, the ‘Learn to Serve’ initiative, and a Digital Awareness Campaign. She has presented papers at national and international conferences, published her research in reputed law journals, and published an opinion piece in a newspaper.

Anjali Prabhakaran completed her B.A. LL.B from the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and thereafter her LL.M from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, with dual specialization in Criminal Law and Human Rights Law. She also completed a Post- Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi in 2010. Anjali is a member of Indian Society of Victimology. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from School of Law, Alliance University, Bengaluru. Her areas of interest are Criminal Law, Human Rights Law, Public International Law and Family Laws. She has presented papers at several national and international conferences. She has several publications to her credit, her recent one being a chapter in a book titled “The Emerging Trends in Consumer Law” published by Thomson Reuters. She joined the IFIM School of Law in 2023.

Bushra Quasmi is Assistant Professor of Law at IFIM School of Law. She has completed her BA LLB (Hons.) from Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia and LLM in Banking and Finance Law from National Law University Jodhpur. She has been teaching at prestigious law schools and university across India since 2016. She is currently pursuing PhD at Alliance School of Law.Her areas of research are in environmental laws, sustainability law and banking and investment law.

She is actively involved in research on topics of sustainable development and environmental preservation. She has attended national and international workshops, conferences on important topics like forest conservation, water rights and conflict management, environmental pedagogy.

Prof. Mubarak Khan is a proven professional with over 6 years of rich experience in teaching and advising culturally diverse undergraduate and graduate students of law. He completed his LL.M in specialization with Labour and Employment Law in the year 2017 from Bangalore University and has cleared KSET in the year 2021. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Law Relating to Agricultural Labour from CMR University, Bengaluru. He is having a distinguished record of publication in academic journals of national and international repute. His special areas of interest include; Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Evidence, Law of Torts etc.

Prior to joining IFIM, he was tendering his services as Assistant Professor at Al-Ameen College of Law, Bengaluru for around 6 years. During his tenure at Al-Ameen, he was working as Chief Coordinator for NSS, Legal Aid Cell, Research Cell, Moot Court Society etc. He is having a good experience of initiating and organising State level and National level events including National Moot Court Competitions, National Seminars, Debate Competitions etc. He has worked as External Senior Supervisor for term end examinations in various law colleges of Bengaluru which are affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. He is a regular Examiner for Karnataka State Law University Evaluation work and question paper setter for the subject Criminal Law for School of Law, Vel Tech University, Chennai.

Prof. Pooja Ogale is pursuing Ph.D. in Law from National Law Institute University, Bhopal. She has completed her post-graduation from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. She has completed her graduation from NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad, Telangana. Furthermore, she has also completed PG- Diploma in Cyber Law and IPR from the University of Hyderabad. Prof. Pooja Ogale before joining IFIM Law School worked as an Assistant Professor (Law) with Ramaiah College of Law, Bangalore for a period of 4 years. She has worked as a Faculty Placement Coordinator in her previous place of work.

Sharu completed her graduation in Political Science from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She later pursued law from the Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, securing the Second Rank in the University of Kerala. She enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Kerala and subsequently completed her Post Graduation in Law specializing in Constitutional Law with the First Rank in the University of Kerala. She has been awarded the Certificate of Practice by the Bar Council of India and is UGC-NET qualified. As a law student, she did her judicial internship under Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kurian Joseph, Judge, Supreme Court of India, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vibhu Bakhru, Judge, High Court of Delhi and Sr. Adv. Mr. Amarjit Singh Chandhiok (then Additional Solicitor General of India), and as a Mirandian, she worked in Taylor and Francis, New Delhi, as a marketing intern.

After working in a New Delhi-based boutique corporate law firm, Sharu started litigating in the Supreme Court of India, which, inter alia, required her to assist senior counsels in the Sabarimala Case and in representing the State of Telangana. She started off in academia at Presidency University, Bangalore, where she taught law and political science and was the Exam Coordinator. She also worked in Ramaiah College of Law, Bangalore, where she served in the capacity of Faculty Coordinator of the Podcast Committee and the Social Media Committee, Head of IQAC Criterion 1 and member of IQAC Criterion 7, Internal Complaints Committee, and Entrance and Admissions Committee.

Naman Shukla is a Corporate and Financial law post-graduate from O. P. Jindal Global University, Haryana. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law at IFIM Law School, Bangalore. He has his law graduation in B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from the School of Law, Fair Field Institute of Management and Technology, New Delhi affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGISPU) New Delhi. Prior to entering into academics, He was previously a Legal Manager at Venus India Asset Finance Ltd, Nodia, Legal Analyst at APTARA, New Delhi, and Research Associate at Concept Legal, New Delhi.

He had interned at United IPR, New Delhi, Krishna and Saurastri Associates, New Delhi, Concept Legal Consultants (P) Limited, New Delhi, Chambers of Advocate Vijay Dalal, New Delhi High Court, and Chambers of Supreme Court Advocate Ashish Nischal, New Delhi. While pursuing his law graduation, he participated in various Moot Court Competitions and Presented & Published multiple research papers on international and national platforms. He was the Winner of Best Paper presenter in the 2nd National Symposium organized by Droit Panel Indian Law journal on crime and criminology in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, Allahabad.

He successfully completed the International Student Exchange program with an A+ grade and received the award of “Best Researcher” organized by the Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal. He Topper and Successfully completed the Diploma in Economic, Social and Development Rights on South Asia- China Connectivity for Regional Economic Social Development organised by Kathmandu School of Law with A++ along with being Awarded ESDR fellowship at the 12th International Winter Residential School by Kathmandu School of Law. He was Runner Up in the International paper presentation Competition in the Law fest Lex

Prof. Debasmita Acharjee is an Assistant Professor at IFIM Law School, Bengaluru. She has completed her LL.M from National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam with a specialization in Constitutional Law. She is UGC NET qualified and has 3 years of experience in the field of education, especially in teaching Constitutional Law-I, Law of Contract, Labour Laws, Company Law, Legal Methods and Consumer Law. Her areas of interest revolve around rights of women and child and labour laws. Ms. Debasmita is a qualified PoSH Trainer and has conducted sessions for the Rotary Club (Ullal) .

Ms. Acharjee is a professional public speaker, and has served as the President of Alliance Toastmasters Club, District 92- a branch of Toastmasters International. She has authored papers titled, “Female Genital Mutilation- A Cry For Human Rights”, “Sorry not Sorry: The Chilling Effects of Freedom of Speech and Expression in India”, “Non-Recognition of Private School Teachers under Labour Laws: A Travesty of Justice”.

Avinash Pandey is a committed academician and legal researcher currently pursuing his PhD at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), with a focus on “Comparative Analysis of Challenges Posed by Cyber Vandalism on Societal Growth.” He holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property & Technology Law from O.P. Jindal Global University and a BBA LL.B. from IFIM Law School, Bangalore.

He specializes in areas such as Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Rights, International Trade Law, and Public International Law. With over one and a half years of experience in legal practice and academia, he has actively contributed to both legal education and research.

He has served as an Assistant Professor at Swami Devi Dyal Law College, where he also led several academic and extracurricular committees. His professional journey includes significant litigation experience as a legal trainee under a Senior Advocate at the Chhattisgarh High Court, where he drafted pleadings, writs, legal notices, and conducted thorough case research.

Avinash has published over 20 articles in reputed legal journals and platforms, covering emerging issues such as cybercrime, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and family law. He has also presented papers at national conferences and has been invited as a guest speaker to address critical intersections between technology and law.

Prof. Purwa Bala is an Assistant Professor of Law at IFIM Law School, Bengaluru, holding an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights from IILM University, Greater Noida, a B.B.A. LL.B. from Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College, Pune, and a Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution. A UGC-NET (Law) qualifier with a 98.77 percentile, she has taught subjects including Law of Torts, Contract Law, Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Legal Methods, blending academic rigor with practical insight to inspire critical thinking and real-world application. Her research has been published in reputed legal journals on topics such as cyber torts, ADR in IPR disputes, Hindu law, environmental law, and mental health law, and she has presented papers at leading academic forums, including “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Legal System with Special Reference to Intellectual Property Rights” and “Reforms in Offences Against Women and Children under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.” She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Legal Onus and Editor of The Lawway with Lawyers Journal, with active contributions to organizing moot courts, academic seminars, and cultural events, reflecting her commitment to legal scholarship, student development, and advancing the evolving landscape of legal education in India

Angarika Borah is an Assistant Professor of Law at IFIM Law School. She holds a B.A.LL.B. (H) from Jorhat Law College, Dibrugarh University, and an LL.M. in Natural Resources Law from Tamil Nadu National Law University. She began her teaching career in March 2025 at Chettinad School of Law, CARE, Chennai.

Her areas of specialization include human rights, environmental law, and sustainable development, backed by a strong record of publications and conference presentations. She has shared her research at various national and international forums and has been honored with the Best Project Award by the National Human Rights Commission for her work on Poshan Abhiyan. Beyond academics, she has contributed to organizing scholarly events and has actively participated in community-centered legal projects through internships and NGO partnerships.

Bob Nathanael joins IFIM Law School with 10 years of extensive and hands-on teaching and training experience. Previously, he has taught English to students of various age groups and from a wide range of nationalities. He has also successfully prepared students for International English Proficiency Tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, PTE and OET. At IFIM, his core responsibility is to enhance our students’ communication skills. He is also vital member of the Personality Enhancement Program (PEP) at IFIM. Mr. Nathanael completed his Master of Arts (English) from St Joseph’s Evening College, Bangalore University and his Bachelor of Arts (English) from Prananath College – Autonomous, Utkal University. His areas of academic interests are Second Language Acquisition, Linguistics, Interdisciplinary Literary Studies, British Literature, Indian Literature, Russian Literature, Post-Colonial Studies, European Classical Literature, World Literature, Cultural Studies, Literary Theory, and Creative Writing.

Dr. Sanchita Choudhury has been in teaching profession for about 14 years now. She has taught students affiliated to various Universities. She has done her PhD on Corporate Social Accounting. Her main area of interest are Accounting and Taxation. She has attended various workshops and conferences and has also presented papers in them. She has also published research papers in various journal. She is a Professional Dancer having post-graduation degree in Kathak and Tagore Dance.

Prof Seshachalam Ananthasayanam is a teacher and an educationist. He has completed his masters in Commerce, Philosophy and Business Administration. He has been in teaching profession for more than 28 years from Bachelor Level to Post Graduate Level in affiliated colleges of University of Madras, Annamalai University, Alagappa University and Bangalore University. He served as a Principal in an affiliated college of Bangalore University. He is also having a corporate experience of around 3 years in Accounting Services. His main areas of interest are Finance, Taxation, and Human Resource Management subjects.He has published 20 articles in international journals of high repute, 25 research papers in international and national conferences, authored two text books and attended various workshops and conferences. Also, he is an active NSS Programme Officer.
