Webinar on Query Optimization Techniques
On June 20th, 2024, a session on Query Optimization Techniques was conducted by Mr. Jeshwanth Kumar, an ETL Lead and Data Architect at Dell Technologies. The session was organized for the students of BCA I and III semesters. Mr. Kumar, with his vast experience in data architecture and management, shared his insights on enhancing database query performance, focusing on techniques to improve the efficiency and speed of data retrieval. He discussed various methods used in the industry, including indexing, query restructuring, and the use of appropriate algorithms. The students gained a deeper understanding of how query optimization plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and effective data operations, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments like Dell. The interactive session allowed the participants to engage directly with Mr. Kumar, asking questions and discussing real-world applications of the techniques they learned.
