Prof. Arvind Moorchung, is currently heading the Bangalore office of Alpha Partners and has 18 years of experience advising various clients from amongst multi-national corporations, public sector companies and institutions, manufacturing companies, and service providers on various areas including commercial litigation, labour, consumer, contracts, trademarks, etc. and representing them before various Courts, tribunals and authorities. Employment and labour related matters have included advising an ISP regarding claims for employment made by employees of contractors, representing an MNC in a criminal complaint filed by the Karnataka Labour Department under the Factories Act, 1948, advising an MNC manufacturer on employment issues arising out of demerger of the company and preparing the necessary documentation for the same, advising a research organisation regarding intellectual property protection and preparing documentation for that purpose including non-disclosure agreements for third party developers and their employees, advising a manufacturing client in proceedings relating to closure of their factory and representing them in proceedings before officers of the Karnataka Labour Department and acting for a manufacturing company in injunction suits filed against former restraining them from violating the terms of their employment contracts.
