Mr. Anmol Patel

Anmol Patel completed his Master of Laws programme at Faculty of Law, University of Toronto in November 2020. He has worked as a consultant for India with the Law School Admission Council, USA during its scaling up of operations in India. He has also worked as a research fellow at Unitedworld School of Law, Karnavati University focusing on interdisciplinary research as well as taking up teaching assignments, organising National seminars and skill-building workshops, and co-chairing the University’s Moot Court Society. He is a recipient of the Urban fellowship, India fellows, and the Teach for India fellowship for 2018. He completed his BBA LLB from School of Law, AURO University in 2018 as a silver medallist securing merit-based scholarships throughout the five years. He has completed CopyrightX course online sections administered by Professor William Fisher III, Harvard Law School with the highest attainable score. He has attended several national conferences, seminars, and courses in the area of intellectual property rights and competition law. He has to his credit a book chapter publication in the area of competition law and intellectual property rights published by Springer, Singapore in 2018. Having served as the President of Auro University’s mooting committee, he has also participated in 4 national moot court competitions, including the Bar Council of India’s National Moot Court Competition, and secured runner-up team position at the 2nd Anand National Moot Court Competition. He represented University of Toronto at the Copyright Policy Moot 2020 organised by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Canada and the Ministry of Canadian Heritage, Canada and hosted by University of Ottawa, Canada. He has interned under advocates and think-tanks including Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani and Centre of Human Rights Studies, O.P. Jindal Global University. His current research interests are in the area of Critical Legal Studies, Health Law and Bioethics, Intellectual Property Law, and Legal Pluralism.
